The English Drama Group at the Lycée Michel Rodange was originally started in 2012 and is directed by the English theatre director, Tony Kingston. The aim of the group is to introduce the students to key acting techniques and to provide a means for non-native English speakers to use English in a practical way. It can also help develop self-confidence in public speaking and presentation - both useful skills in working life – in a fun and lively way.

In 2018 the group also performed at the “FEST 2018” Festival of English-Language School Theatre at Mersch, the first time the group has performed in a wider environment will be doing so again in 2020.

In 2019 the group was lucky enough to play at the TOL for the first time – and we are delighted to be returning again in 2020. The group will perform a 50 minutes piece which will earlier have been shown at FEST 2020, but at the time of writing the exact details of the show have not been finalised.
